Safeguarding Students in a digital world
This half-day seminar will change your perception of what is possible
Tuesday, 16 March 2010 at Shenfield High School
Many schools are overwhelmed by students using the latest technology to bypass traditional content filters. Network Managers seem to fight a losing battle every day with peer-to-peer, anonymous proxies and web 2.0 embedded content. This results in an almost complete lock down of internet access including great educational resources like YouTube. This strategy severely limits the educational potential of the web while not really solving the problem of misuse. There is another way...see how schools are tackling these problems and opening up the potential of the internet while safeguarding students.
